Mission of Our Kohl's Keeping Kids Healthy Program

A community-wide nutrition and physical activity program, the Kohl’s Keeping Kids Healthy Program works to prevent and combat childhood obesity to improve children’s overall health and wellness.

We know that healthful eating and lifestyle habits are the foundation of good health, and help prevent obesity and other chronic diseases. Together we can make positive changes that have a big impact on our health.

How We Help Communities

Weekend Backpack Feeding Program

Working with Island Harvest, we provide 20,800 healthful meals and snacks to food-insecure school children each year.

Helping to Keep Kids Fit

Working with Project Fit America, we deliver physical education programming to area schools.

Improving Healthy Food Access

Working with Cornell Cooperative Extension, we improve access to nutritious food at independent neighborhood grocery stores (corner stores) in high-need communities.

Educating The Community

School-Based Programs

We provide engaging education programs to grades K-12 on healthy eating and physical activity.

Adult-Focused Programs

We provide education on a wide variety of health and wellness topics for families, educators, school administrators, and nursing staff.

Community-Based Events

We bring our programs to local community events to engage and educate the public on healthy lifestyles.
